Founder Introduction
Amanda Kanai is the founder of EValue Capital.
Amanda is a motivated and multilingual financial advisory/investment professional. Prior to relocating to Tokyo, Amanda was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley with five years' experience in international equity/debt financing and cross-border m&a based in Beijing and Hong Kong. In 2015, she relocated to Japan and has been working on corporate development/corporate venture capital side. She was in charge of gumi Cryptos Capital's Asia business before founding her own advisory firm EValue Capital.
As a graduate with honors in finance from Peking University, Amanda is a passionate learner and had been studying Japanese language full-time for nine months in Tokyo before officially working in Japan. She studied one semester in ESSEC Business School in Paris and one summer in Harvard attending courses in finance and economics. She also participated in data analytics program held by NYU School of Professional Studies in Tokyo.
Amanda is a native Mandarin speaker. She also speaks English with full professional proficiency, business level Japanese (JLPT N1) and conversational Cantonese.
Amanda ranked No.1 (liberal arts) in Hainan Province for China's National College Entrance Exam in 2006.
